Hacking The media and people at large often identify hacking as the malicious act of computer destruction. Rather, that better describes 'cracking.'This directory lists some things that don't belong anywhere else (and may not belong here either) such as anarchy, credit card fraud and the like... Likewise, it lists things that do belong here such as exploits and the hacker culture. If you're interested in breaking into computers, that's fine -- that's a subset of hacking. Likewise, however, hacking is about gaining more knowledge through the use of computers. |
